Shuttle Service for Renters

Our kayaks are kept in the BOA compound almost next door to Hotel El Moro in La Paz. If you have your own transportation you can collect your reserved kayaks at any pre- arranged time. Alternatively, if you require a shuttle then you need to consider whether you just want to go to the departure beach (Tecolote) which is a half hour drive north of La Paz or get a motor boat shuttle all the way to Espiritu Santo Island.

Price is per person. Tecolote is the departure beach for sea - kayaking to Espiritu Santo Island. (Recommended for Very experienced only).

To paddle across to Espiritu Santo Island it is a 4.5 mile crossing from Tecolote beach. The crossing is subject to high winds and consequently big swells and should not be attempted by people without sufficient open water paddle experience.

The prevailing winds blow from the north (November - May), so many people get a drop off at the north end and then paddle back, either attempting the crossing with the wind behind, or arranging a pick up from the south end of the island.

We take you to have an unforgettable experience snorkeling with sea-lions and then drop you off at your choosen beach. Many renters miss out on the sea-lion colony because it is a very exposed point with no landing place. Choosing this option is highly recommended for anyone who has not already had their fins nibbled by a sea lion pup!!
MID WEEK REPROVISION!!!

If you plan your trip well, arranging a re-provision will make your kayak packing much easier and an altogether more enjoyable trip, not least because of the vast quantity of fresh water you need to carry. We can bring out ice cold beverages, more water and food supplies. Logically, this should be arranged during the middle of your trip so you only have to carry 50% of your trip supply. Our re-supply service includes us doing your fresh produce shopping, you just need to give us a shopping list and money to cover the bill. The re-provision service runs for a flat rate of $150US.
